There is an active recall of smoked salmon slices sold in 15 states according to the Food and Drug Administration due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The Foppen Seafood brand is specifically recalling their 8.1-ounce packages of Smoked Norwegian Salmon Slices. The affected product has a printed lot number of 412 and UPC 8 40137 10000 2. They were sold in Kroger and Payless Supermarkets in the following states: Alabama Arkansas Georgia Illinois Indiana Kentucky Louisiana Michigan Mississippi Missouri Ohio South Carolina Tennessee Texas and West Virginia.
