Snapchat unveils new parental tools to monitor teen activity

Popular social media app Snapchat has unveiled new tools aimed at helping parents monitor and protect their teenagers. The update comes after Snapchat came under scrutiny from some drug dealers using social media to sell pills containing deadly fentanyl. NBC News' Kate Snow interviewed Nona Farahnik Yadegar, director of platform policy, about how the new tools work.
