Starship Flight Test 4 (unofficially IFT-4) will be Starship's 4th flight. The current launch date is set for NET on June 6, 2024.[1] Ship 29 (S29) and Booster 11 (B11) will be used for this mission. Both vehicles have received upgrades since Flight 3. The fourth Starship flight test is currently scheduled for June 6, 2024 at 7 a.m. CDT, pending regulatory approval. The test profile for this mission is almost identical to that of Flight 3, but there are some changes. The most notable changes are the hot ring jettison of the B11 and a motor-powered soft landing for the S29. The objectives of the fourth flight according to SpaceX: / "The fourth flight test shifts our attention from achieving orbit to demonstrating the ability to return and reuse spacecraft and super-heavyweights. The main objectives will be to executing a soft landing and water landing in the Gulf of Mexico with the Super Heavy booster and performing a controlled entry of Starship./"
