I realize it's Halloween and okra isn't exactly candy. But this simple recipe is so good you'll crave it like you crave chocolate. Okay maybe that's a bit of a stretch but you'll crave it anyway.
Okra is something that is completely new to me. I have lived here in Texas for a while but I never had the urge to try this humble vegetable until I had it at Contigo this summer.
The preparation is quite simple: garlic in oil… fry them on high heat so that they are nicely charred without becoming slimy. The genius is the way they finish it with sherry vinegar. It gives them a sweet spicy almost pickled taste… you will eat them and not be able to stop.
