Spiedies are the pride and joy of the Greater Binghamton area of New York. They are such a staple of life there that the biggest party of the year celebrates them. The Spiedie Festival and Balloon Rally draw thousands of people to the area each summer. Cuts of pork chicken (my favorite) lamb (traditional) or venison are marinated for 1 to 3 days in a mixture of oil vinegar and spices grilled on skewers and served on plain Italian bread.
