Our spinach casserole recipe uses a healthy amount of spinach and combines it with cream cheese and herbs for a satisfying side dish that’s easy to make in 10 minutes. Although we use frozen spinach you can also use fresh spinach (see our notes below).

Creamy spinach casserole

Spinach is packed with vitamins and minerals and is a superfood that you should include in your diet every day. Spinach is a versatile ingredient that is low in calories but high in nutrients. It is delicious eaten raw in salads and smoothies and is delicious cooked in soups or casseroles.

Use fresh or frozen mixed greens kale or Swiss chard instead of spinach if desired and serve with steak fish or chicken. Or serve with baked potato as part of a vegetarian meal.
