I have a soft spot for the tomato basil balsamic trio. Jack has a soft spot for soft cheese (okay any cheese really). Since I probably don't need to explain how to make a tomato crostini I added a little sweet twist to my favorite appetizer by using strawberries.

Strawberry Balsamic Crostini
You can toss the strawberries in balsamic vinegar or take it a step further and melt the balsamic in a pan until it becomes a more concentrated tangy syrup. And make sure you get the sweetest strawberries and some good fresh mozzarella because with so few ingredients every ingredient counts.
ps I'm sure this would be very tasty (as a dessert) covered in chocolate as it looks in the picture.
