Taralli is an old Italian recipe that originates from the southern region of Puglia. I saw this recipe on TV and knew I had to try it.

"Cacio e Pepe" Taralli (cheese and pepper pretzels) – Food Wishes

Taralli are quite simple to make. It’s all about a simple unleavened dough without kneading with a few ingredients: flour extra virgin olive oil white wine and salt.

The dough can be flavored with fennel thyme caraway or other seeds you like. I chose my favorite: caraway.

These versatile Italian appetizers are a great addition to an aperitif and can be enjoyed on their own or accompanied by a cheese and olive platter and a glass of local red wine.
