![Tennis lesson for beginners: forehand progressions](https://ytimg.googleusercontent.com/vi/1NDXZpbw3qA/hqdefault.jpg)
In today's video, John Craig works with his beginner tennis student Adriana on forehands. In his forehand progressions, he works on movement, ready position, unit turn, left arm stretch, grip, contact, extension and balance/control checkpoint. If you are a beginner, you must first understand how to move towards the ball before learning your forehand. Footwork will help the swing blend and produce a professional-quality forehand swing motion.
