Upgrade your tuna salad and skip the mayonnaise for these simple ingredients

Tuna salad on whole wheat with lettuce and no tomatoes. That’s my standard sandwich order. Sometimes I’ll opt for rye bread and I might ask for a pickle or even avocado if I’m feeling adventurous. At home I might add capers or celery along with the non-negotiable onion. If you’re a tuna salad sandwich lover like me you probably know exactly how you like your tuna salad.
However you order or make your favorite tuna salad there is one ingredient I never skip and that I think makes a huge difference. It adds that kick that most tuna salads are looking for even if they don’t know it. A little goes a long way and is probably something you have at home or can find wherever you order: Dijon mustard.
