Grocery shopping in New York City is a journey to put it simply. Not only are the grocery stores significantly smaller than what would be considered “normal” but if you don’t have a car you’re either having to shovel your groceries into one of your granny carts or lug canvas bags up subway platforms and spiral staircases.
Thankfully the pain of grocery shopping changed significantly once I moved further south in the city and was within walking distance of a large ShopRite. A true suburban-scale grocery store (shocking in the city I know!) with lots of aisles 20+ checkout lanes and a plethora of options to choose from.
