Google Trends allows you to analyze the popularity of different search categories around the world such as veganism which includes vegan-related searches performed in any language (e.g. “veganism” “vegan restaurants” “vegan recipes” “vegan foods”).
While some of these searches are done out of curiosity a large number of searches for vegan products such as vegan recipes or vegan restaurants near me show a clear preference for or intention to embrace a vegan lifestyle.
Google Trends data confirms that veganism is growing rapidly. 2018 was a record year for searches for veganism: 11% more than 2017 and 35% more than 2016.
