I have to admit: I love garlic but garlic presses? Not so much. While I like them in theory it’s the cleaning part that gets me. No one enjoys removing garlic husks from one of these gadgets and then scrubbing the sticky gunk out of a tiny hole. I have a garlic press but it sits languishing in the clutter of my silverware drawer forgotten and unloved. But here’s the thing: I use a lot of garlic. My husband and I joke that I automatically double the amount of garlic despite the actual amounts a recipe may call for.
