Doctor reviews meatless burgers | Impossible Beyond & More!
Serious Mealtimes / Vicky Wasik
It seems like every day there’s another company releasing another plant-based burger that mimics meat trying to capitalize on the popularity of meat replacements being produced by companies like Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods. Many of these (like the hilariously named Incogmeato from Kellogg Company’s MorningStar Farms brand) attempt to make their meat replacements not just tasty but “bloody” as well by copying the Impossible Burger’s now-infamous ability to burst with pink juices in a convincingly meaty way.
Honestly whenever I hear about another bloody plant burger whether it’s the bloody Impossible the frankly not-bloody Beyond or the bloody Incogmeato nothing comes to mind so much as WT Goodge’s poem “The Great Australian Adjective.” We always say that as long as a meat replica burger is _ _ _ _ good bring it on.
