The deadliest road to Rathkale campsite via Kalukale #travelweekend #madulsima #overland

This time our tourist destination is Rathkele Pathana. We were thinking of going to Rathkele Pathana for camping. To get to Rathkele we had to take the usual route through Madolsima, a road with little traffic. So when we were looking for roads we found a route to Rathkele via Roberia Watta passing through Kalukele village.

So we decided to follow this route to Rathkele. Dr. Ashan Geegana's younger brother first gave me the idea of this route for this trip. Moreover, Vihaga Rukshan Malli in Badulla and Madusanka Malli, the village in-charge of Dikyaya Grama Niladhari Estate, gave me great support in finding information about this route, so we are very grateful to them.

We started this journey from Ridhimaliyedda and from there we reached Kandegama village then we reached Digyaya through Dunukewela annasigala yaya. It was from Digyaya that we reached Kalukele. The journey from Digyaya to Kalukele was the most beautiful part of this trip. From Kalukele we reached Rathkele waterfall along Roberiya Garden.
Kalukele village is the most difficult village we encountered on this trip. There is a school with around ten children and a recently built temple. In fact, there are some very innocent people there. Anyway, we had to cross the section from Kalukele to Rathkele. The road is covered in forest and there is no one to ask for directions. Even though we met some, we didn't understand what they were saying.

So finding the road and going to Rathkele was a big challenge for us. Anyway, by the time we reached Rathkele Pathana, it was after 8:00 p.m.
