Nonstick vs. Stainless Steel Cookware

When shopping for cookware people often wonder whether to go with nonstick cookware or plain uncoated stainless steel. There’s a lot to consider when selecting new pots and pans (even eco-friendly cookware is an option) so it’s a good idea to understand the pros and cons of each. It’s mostly a matter of personal preference—keep in mind the types of food you cook most often so you can select the best cookware for the job.
While you can buy almost any type of cookware online it’s best to go to a store if you’re new to the process. You’ll want to feel and inspect the quality of many different pans. It’s also helpful to see the pans in person to get a sense of the cookware’s circumference. Sometimes online product photos don’t give you a size scale for reference.
