I am always looking for a good brownie recipe. In fact after my grandmother passed away I haven’t had a brownie that lived up to the precedent she set and for some reason her recipe is not the same when I try to make it. I have tried many cookbooks blogs recipes from friends and such but to no avail.
So when I saw a recipe for Chocolate Syrup Brownies on the r/Old_Recipes Reddit subthread that was taken from a 1934 Hershey's cookbook I figured maybe I should ditch the old-school recipes and go back to the tried-and-true. After all Redditors seem to be big fans. Some of the comments in the Reddit thread list this recipe as their favorite childhood recipe so how could I not give it a try? Sometimes retro recipes are just perfect.
