Born André Rene Rousimoff a behemoth of a man who stands roughly 7 feet 10 inches tall there are a number of stories circulating about him drinking dozens of bottles of beer at a time. That 119 figure is sometimes disputed. André himself claimed to have drunk 117 in a 1984 interview with David Letterman while fellow wrestler Mike Graham said he's seen the Giant drink as much as 156 (via Thrillist ) but most stories posit a figure in the 100-tens range. Either way that's a downright ridiculous amount of beer to consume in one sitting. The professional wrestling icon has become something of a legendary figure in the wrestling world and even the broader sphere of pop culture.
From legendary stories about his ability to flip cars to a report of him eating 12 steaks and 15 lobsters in one sitting (via WWE) Andre the Giant has achieved something of a mythological status outside of his in-ring career as well.
While the average beer drinker might be concerned with the perfect pint glass or even tricks to improve cheaper beers these things would only slow down someone with the drinking acumen of Andre the Giant who was no stranger to superhuman levels of drinking during and after his wrestling career. While 119 bottles of beer is a practically unimaginable number to any other mortal this does not appear to have been an isolated incident.
