My favorite time of day during the week is around 3:30pm. When my kids get home from school we chat for a bit and grab a bite to eat. It’s a nice little break before I head back to my home office to finish up my work for the day. I like to bring a drink back to my desk to motivate myself to finish up the last few tasks before I switch from writing about food for work to cooking dinner for my family.
My little home office is in a room that used to be a patio. That means lots of windows and no insulation. Cold in the winter hot in the summer. I’d love to bring an iced coffee on sweaty summer afternoons but a caffeine hit at 4pm is just asking for trouble. A can of La Croix is an easy choice but it’s nicer to have something a little fancier with a little more intention behind it.
