Nespresso machines typically brew espresso at around 78-86 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the model of machine – an ideal temperature range that allows the liquid to be properly extracted without burning. For an even smoother draw however you should run hot water through your Nespresso before pulling your shot of espresso. This simple action brings the entire Nespresso machine up to those ideal temperatures allowing that irresistible golden nectar to effortlessly flow from the entire machine from start to finish.

Espresso machines have a much easier time extracting when they’re warmed up giving your coffee a better texture and flavor. So if you want to avoid excess bitterness in favor of sweetness and smoothness you can add this step to your morning espresso ritual.

Every Nespresso model is different and each has its own unique way of simply dispensing hot water from the machine. Most models are very simplistic and only require you to fill the water tank with fresh water remove any pods from the chamber and press the button once. Hot water will then flow through the machine.
