If you are new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I am the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It's a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money in businesses. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over 200,000,000 per year. Our participation varies between 20% and 100% of them. Since this is a YT channel and anyone can claim anything, I'll give you some things below that you can check on Google.
How I got here…
21: Graduated from Vanderbitl in 3 years with Magna Cum Laude and took a sophisticated consulting job.
23 years old: I left my consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 years: Opening of 5 sports halls.
26 years old: 6th gymnasium closed. Lose everything.
26 years: Resumption of the launch of sports halls (launched 33). Then I lost everything a second time.
Age 26: In desperation, I started the licensing model as a Hail Mary. It worked.
27 years old: /"Gym Launch/" makes 3M profitable for the next 6 months. Then 17 million profits over the next 12 months.
28 years old: Creation of Prestige Labs. 20M the first year.
Age 29: Launched ALAN, a software company allowing agencies to work on leads for clients. Scale to 1.7 mmo in 6 months.
Age 31: Sale of 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all-stock transaction.
Age 31: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at a valuation of 46.2 million in an all-cash transaction to American Pacific Group. (you can search for it on Google)
31 years old: Creation of our family office Acquisition.com. We are investing and scaling businesses using the 42 million distributions we had cashed out from the 46.2 million outflow.
Age 32: I started creating free content showing how we grow businesses to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to inspire business owners to invest or grow their business.
Age 34: I became a co-owner of https://Skool.com to help the many people who want to start an online business do so.
Today: Our portfolio now generates 200 M/year between 10 companies. The largest makes 100 million per year, the smallest makes 5 million per year. Our participation varies between 20% and 100% of the companies. We invested in many of them early on and helped them grow (that's how we make our money – not YouTube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we are all writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
