However if you’re baking those delicious cupcakes ahead of time and need to transport them to another location you’ll want to do so with care. Otherwise they could fall over or squish ruining your hard work.

The next time you’re transporting your cupcakes from point A to point B don’t put them on a standard serving platter. Instead place them neatly in a baking pan. With high sides the pan will prevent the cupcakes from toppling over especially if you’re driving and have to make a few turns. But there are even more ways to secure those cupcakes in that baking pan keeping them safe the entire trip.

It’s an obvious solution since baking pans are usually about three inches high. But besides those high edges there are other ways to protect your cupcakes while traveling. Your little baking creations should be far enough apart that the frosting on each creation doesn’t touch and your design stays intact. Crumple up a bit of aluminum foil or parchment paper to place between each cupcake in the pan. This way they won’t shift around while you’re traveling.

You can also cover the cupcakes to help keep them fresh depending on how long they’re in transit. That homemade frosting will stay soft instead of hard when exposed to air and it will also prevent bugs from landing on it. Finally make sure your roasting pan is clean; it’s often used to catch drips when roasting meat in the oven. You don’t want any stains or residue from your last dish getting on those cupcake liners.
