Certain flavors bring you back to your childhood. For me a root beer float is one of them.
When I would visit my grandmother she would make me a root beer float. I remember standing on a chair to get the ice cream out of the freezer because I was too small to reach it. After I took the ice cream out and scooped it into a large soda glass she would open the root beer for me to pour over the ice cream. I would sit at her kitchen table and enjoy it.
