Although I grill all year round I do get a little excited when the weather gets warmer and the days get longer. That’s when the official “grill season” begins. I quickly switch from cooking for two to stocking the fridge and cupboards with sauces spices and enough beer for the people who come over.
One thing I always have on hand for summer barbecues is hot dogs but I rarely think about them more than I do about a link bun of mustard and ketchup. In preparation for a new season I thought it would be a good idea to pay a little more attention to this backyard staple and come up with a range of toppings to breathe new life into the standard hot dog.
