Tutorial: How to Connect VOIP Phone to PC Share Home Office Internet Work Directly

I work with a Bizphone iiNet VOIP in the home office and found it almost impossible to connect the VOIP phone to the modem because the distance is too great. Plus, I don't want to have too many cables lying around. So I found a solution to connect the VOIP phone to the Ethernet port in my office and share the PC's internet connection.
Every time the PC is turned on, the VOIP phone connects.
Here are the simple steps:
1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your VOIP phone to your PC
2. Make sure the PC is connected to the Internet via WIFI
3. Go to Network Connections and Configure Sharing
4. Configure DNS to 192.168.137.1

The VOIP phone should now be connected to the Internet.

If you're having trouble, try turning sharing off and on. For me this still solves the problem.
