How to take screenshots in Ubuntu. Commands below:

Capture the entire screen
To take a screenshot with ENTIRE SCREEN, type the following at the command prompt:
gnome screenshot

Capture only current window
To take the screenshot of the current ACTIVE WINDOW alone, type the following at the command prompt:
gnome-screenshot -w

Capture a particular area
To take a SPECIAL AREA by itself, type the following at the command prompt:
gnome-screenshot -a

Other features and settings:
Take a screenshot including or excluding the window border:
gnome-screenshot -w -b
gnome-screenshot -w -B

Take a screenshot after a certain delay (for example, 2 seconds):
gnome-screenshot -w -d 2
