Unboxing and Upgrading the Steam Deck OLED SSD!

In today's video I unbox and upgrade the SSD into the all new Steam Deck OLED!

I took the 1TB SSD from my OG Steam Deck and swapped it for my 512GB OLED model….

Please note: This is NOT a teardown or how-to video, but simply my personal experience ON DAY ONE of receiving the Deck in the mail after immediately ordering on launch day and exchanging my SSD. Until recording this video, there weren't many videos or information showing the OLED Deck opening, so I was going out in the cold for the most part. Anyway, I was swapping out my SSD and decided to just place a camera above me to possibly let people know what was going on inside the system or involved. The ribbon cable seen in this video that I was trying to be careful with *can* be disconnected and removed as many commenters below have pointed out, but in my case I simply worked through it successfully.
