At first I thought we wouldn’t have a winter this year which is totally fine with me. I’m more of a sweat-over-cold type although I do like to wrap myself in hats mittens and scarves over scarves.

But then one day last week winter came and I’m still a little cold from it. Even though it only lasted a short while and it’s already 50 degrees it was still tough. So tough that I needed a new hot chocolate recipe. One of the ginger kind as you might have guessed.
I have a friend named Lacy who loves ginger candy so much that she can eat a whole bag before she realizes what happened. She also runs marathons a lot. That's why I think she's crazy.
Ginger candy. I honestly don't get it. I popped a giant ginger cube in my mouth after hearing Lacy liked it so much and I haven't regretted it since. Ginger has such a strong spicy flavor that's why I prefer it as a complementary flavor not the main flavor.
