The new features rely heavily on your smartphone to place 3D-rendered creatures (and more) in your camera's viewfinder at full scale. Right off the bat, it's worth noting that this isn't a brand new feature, but it really helps you understand the magnitude of animals in the natural world, all without having to go to your local zoo or nature reserve. .
