Walnut Snowball Cookies Recipe – How to Make Snowball Cookies
This was my all-time favorite Christmas cookie growing up. Mom would make them by the bucketload and we would pop the walnut-sized balls into our mouths as fast as she would make them.
So fast that I was once caught stealing some as a boy. When I proclaimed my innocence my mother saw the powdered sugar on my face. Caught.
We always made these cookies with walnuts but pecans are also common. Although we always called these “nut balls” I’ve seen similar cookies called Mexican wedding cookies and Russian tea cookies. Whatever you call them these cookies are addictive.
