All good things must come to an end. While Costco’s hot dog is exempt from this rule (hopefully forever) the adage applies to many of the wholesaler’s most beloved food court offerings from the churro to the Polish dog. However if you were to ask members what menu item they miss the most chances are a fair number of Costco’s loyal customers would name the combo pizza which was discontinued in early 2020.

10 Costco Items Members Desperately Want Back

While the retailer still sells the pepperoni and cheese pies which feature a shocking amount of mozzarella provolone and parmesan cheese the previously popular combo pizza was piled high with tasty toppings. Similar to a supreme pizza you might order from a chain the pizza featured pepperoni sausage red onions green peppers black olives and mushrooms. Between all the meat and veggies the stuffed combo pizza brought a ton of flavor to the table for just $9.95 plus tax. Unlike pizza chains that might charge a few dollars more for extra toppings Costco's combo pizza cost the same as both the cheese and pepperoni pies.

It's unclear why Costco removed the combo pizza from its food court menus as the company apparently never released a statement about the decision. However the removal from the food court led to disappointed members of the public calling for the pizza's return via a Change.org petition that has garnered over 18000 signatures. Fortunately for fans of Costco's combo pizza the hope of eating a hearty slice of pizza again is not lost.

In early 2024 rumors began circulating online about the return of Costco’s combo pizza—but not to the food court. A Reddit thread posted in March by an alleged company employee announced that the popular pizza would be returning as a take-and-bake pizza that would be prepared and sold in the company’s own delis. The post was subsequently deleted casting doubt on the claim but some concrete cheesy evidence has since surfaced.
