Popcorn with the wrong side up in the microwave
If you're like me and you play by the rules you'll see a warning on a bag of microwave popcorn: If you don't pop the popcorn properly you'll pay the price.
I suppose the instruction to pop a bag "This Side Up" saves you from burnt popcorn under popped kernels or worse an exploding microwave. I've always been happy to leave the mystery up to the universe.
But since it's my job to ask the kitchen questions that others are afraid to discuss I pulled out a bag of "This Side" Down and set it up to tell you what happens when you ignore the rules of popcorn popping.
