The art of making Ceylon tea
The Fir Eats / Abby Mercer Margot Cavin
Ceylon tea is a popular type of black tea that is also known as Sri Lankan tea. Served as iced tea or hot it is a favorite drink for many tea drinkers. Although Ceylon is known for its strong flavor the flavor can vary significantly depending on the type of tea and where in the country it is grown.
Ceylon tea does contain caffeine but the amount varies depending on the leaves used (black green or white tea) and how strong the tea is brewed. Tea bags generally contain more caffeine than whole tea leaves and steeping time also affects caffeine content.
