The History of Goulash

Goulash is a stew made with beef or other meat and vegetables mainly tomatoes and peppers and seasoned generously with paprika. The dish originated in Hungary from where it traveled to other Central European countries and beyond. As a result there are numerous variations of goulash such as pork goulash and even chicken or turkey goulash.
