Various forms of fasting are becoming increasingly popular leading some people to try the OMAD diet. OMAD stands for “one meal a day” and this style of eating appeals to people who don’t want to restrict certain foods count calories or fast for entire days at a time.

The rules are simple: “Proponents recommend 4: 1 meal 1 plate 1 drink and 1 hour” says Lisa Andrews M.Ed. RD LD owner of Sound Bites Nutrition. In other words eat one plate of food drink one drink and do it within one hour of the day.
