Last July I walked into an ice cream shop near my Brooklyn apartment. It’s not actually an ice cream shop but a great Buffalo Wings restaurant that happens to serve Perry’s an excellent ice cream from upstate New York. I don’t eat much ice cream these days (I’d rather devote my belly space to beer) so I was looking forward to it. My wife Amy and my two-year-old daughter Sylvia were with me. Amy asked for her usual order cookies and cream in a cup to share with Sylvia and when it was my turn I gave my standard order: vanilla ice cream in a sugar cone with chocolate sprinkles.
"You also have chocolate sprinkles don't you?" I asked the boy behind the counter.
