Get the most out of your carbonated drinks: the foolproof technique to keep your soft drinks fizzy for longer!

What is it about sparkling water that quenches thirst like no other? It’s all in the bubbles and those bubbles are the reason I always keep a little of the fizzy stuff on hand in case I suddenly feel thirsty crave a mocktail or want to make a batch of tempura. Sparkling water is a non-negotiable in my kitchen and if you’ve made it this far chances are it’s a non-negotiable in yours too.
The only problem with sparkling H2O is that it quickly loses its fizz once opened. Whether you buy it in a glass bottle with a metal cap or a plastic bottle with a screw cap (don't forget to protect an opened can of sparkling water from leaking it's impossible!) after a day or so the water loses its fizz and then I prefer to drink it from the tap.
