It takes a lot for John and I to fall head over heels in love with a new restaurant but once I dipped a French fry in the whiskey BBQ ketchup at Beer Kitchen in Kansas City it was game over. It had to be made at home.

I already love condiments and sauces so if there’s a real homemade ketchup out there chances are I’ve tried it. But oddly enough I’ve never made my own! That had to change.
Since my love for whiskey BBQ ketchup has become a borderline obsession I decided to give it a try. While it's not a complete 1:1 match I came pretty damn close!
It has the rich flavor of ketchup with a hint of smoky BBQ and an undertone of alcohol. Mmmmm delicious.
