According to him this diverse spot is not only the best place to get food in all five boroughs of New York but in the entire world. While picking just one city as a favorite place to eat is a tough question for anyone Zimmern told Forbes in an interview that he chose Queens because the borough — as one of the most ethnically diverse — offers something authentic for everyone.
"Queens has the greatest depth and breadth of food available of any city in the world. At a high level 150 different cuisines represented in populations that I think are now 8000 or more with new arrivals all the time. You can go to a Bukharian restaurant there an obscure Central Asian cuisine… I mean it's just incredible" he told Forbes. If you're looking for the best restaurants in the city look no further than Queens.
As for specific spots in Queens Andrew Zimmern told Forbes that there are plenty of spots near Rego Park in Queens that he frequents as well as other tasty spots in the Flushing neighborhood. For him the sheer variety of cuisines available there make these spots must-visit locations for foodies. "When people ask me what the best food city in the world is it's Queens NY" he told Forbes. And it's not just the variety that Zimmern is a fan of but also the quality of the cuisine here. He brought up the variety of Chinese dishes that Queens has to offer which he believes makes it one of the best in the world.
