Forget the lighter fluid: Lighting a charcoal grill is easy when you have a chimney starter. We like to use the Weber Rapidfire Chimney Starter to get our coals nice and hot and ready to grill.

As the weather warms up I inevitably see more people grilling outside (here’s how to get started if you’re a beginner). While it should be a joyous occasion there’s one evil that irks me to no end: lighter fluid. Ever since I bought my first grill invited some friends over and started the fire with matchstick charcoal (coals already coated in lighter fluid) the stuff has been my nemesis.
