Configure them
Let's start by configuring them. Access the zoom page of your browser and enter your credentials. Once inside, go to the left menu under the personal category and select Settings HERE. On the right side, under the Meeting category, click Meeting Basic. Scroll down and look for the Meeting Reactions option. Enable the option by clicking the checkbox. Below you can choose between All Emojis and Selected Emojis. Let's select All Emojis. Click the Save button to apply the changes.
Use emojis
Now let's start using them.
While in a Zoom meeting, go to the bottom menu and click on the reactions icon HERE. When you click on it, you will see the 6 default emojis. And if you click on these three dots, you will see the wide variety of options that you have. Just click on the one you want to use and that's it.
Raise your hand
You can raise your hand while you're in a Zoom meeting. To do this, click on the Reactions icon. But this time, click the Raise Hand HERE button. As you can see on the upper left side, there is a raised hand emoji. And everyone in the meeting can see it too. To stop raising your hand, click the lower hand button and that's it.
Based on hand gesture recognition
Zoom recently added a handy new feature for raising your hand or thumb during a meeting. Go to the settings icon HERE. In the general section, scroll down and find the reactions category HERE. Now check the box Enable the following emojis based on hand gesture recognition HERE. When you next join a Zoom meeting and raise your hand, your camera will identify this gesture and automatically activate the raised hand emoji on the screen, as you can see now. When you want to lower your hand click this button HERE. Additionally, when you tap the thumb, the camera identifies this gesture and displays a thumb emoji on the screen. Wow! A very useful function, right?
